Magical things from my head and the Web
After Mike pointed me in the general direction of floorplanner.com, myself and Spikey set about planning out the new flat on there. It’s a perpetual work in progress, and it’s sort of mostly to scale (ie, done by eye) but should give anyone not completely infuriated by my ongoing witterings about the new flat an idea of its layout.
Also, I’ve bollocksed up the stairs on the first floor in 3D mode. I would try and fix it, but quite frankly the solution eludes me.
I’m currently working on migrating all my old mail from various different IMAP accounts to my new Google Apps account. I discovered a tool called imapsync which looks pretty impressive, and in the process of doing a dry run, I saw the following logged:
Success login on [imap.gmail.com] with user [REDACTED] auth [LOGIN] From capability : XYZZY QUOTA NAMESPACE IDLE UNSELECT CHILDREN IMAP4REV1 XLIST
XYZZY? Really?
The Google IMAP service advertises a strange CAPABILITY called XYZZY when you issue the CAPABILITY command. If the command XYZZY is given, the server responds “OK Nothing happens.”
This is potentially the best thing of all time. Other than bread and butter pudding.
No, Moslems don’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Think of it like a movie. The Torah is the first one, and the New Testament the sequel. Then the Qu’ran comes out, and it retcons the last one like it never happened. There’s still Jesus, but he’s not the main character anymore, and the messiah hasn’t shown up yet. Jews like the first movie but ignored the sequels. Christians think you need to watch the first two, but the third movie doesn’t count. The Moslems think the third one was the best, and Mormons liked the second one so much, they started writing fanfiction that doesn’t fit with ANY of the series canon.

Seems that the ruby-tumblr Ruby gem doesn’t support Audio posts - and when it encounters them, it bombs with a NilClass exception rather than failing gracefully.
I’m going to get a patch to the ruby-tumblr Google group (as requested by the author) in the next few days, and if that gets no response - I’m worried that the project might be dead, with its last release in 2007 - I’ll fork it on Github.
In the meantime, if you need a quick fix, the problem is located in the ‘case’ block near line 70 in tumblr.rb - on Mac OS X, this is stored in “/Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/ruby-tumblr-0.0.2/lib/tumblr.rb”.
